My mates did this. I just took off the front of the panel & had a fiddle.
I think it was just 2 things trying to select at the same time Any how put it back & alls been fine ever since Chris 2008 XS 110 2.4 Utility. Tonga Green 1953 Series 1 for restoration 1983 Mini Mayfair 2004 VW T5 Camper 2008 Diahatsu Sirion. Thats hers Classic Bolens Garden Tractors |

John, thanks for the link, I found the relevant section. The diagrams are useful and I learned some new terms ('blend door control cables', marvellous!).
Chris, yes, looking at the diagrams I'm guessing it's simply that things have got tangled. Very helpful to see what's behind the panel before removing it! Phil. |

I had the same, can't quite remember but I am sure it was the force of the fan being on holding it in position?

Thanks for the suggestion but I don't think any amount of fiddling will free it - panel off, I'm afraid.

Quite often problems with the sliders are down to the plastic melting and deforming due to the heat from the bulbs illuminating the controls, a very common problem.
Be very careful with the heater control unit, it is only available as an assembly and is STAGGERINGLY expensive! |
