Rejel seem to be a supplier of windscreen repair stuff (and Dinitrol, plus other products interesting for a Defender owner )... I would have a look on their website, or probably give them a call...

I would say wotever scratched your glass was something other than a Scotchbrite/washing up pad,0000 grade wire wool has been used for eon's for glass cleaning, probably that much cr*p stuck to your screen you've never noticed the scratches before .
Back o/t, if you want to polish scratches out of the glass you need this which is cerium oxide polishing compound and rayon felt pads with a drill attachment,oh, you wont be able to do it by hand either. Mines full of scratches and chips thinkin of swappin it out. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GLASS-POLISHING-...&rt=nc Pov.spec,ftw. 2006, 110,TD5. |

I think you've been very unlucky! I've never had a scotchbrite pad scratch a windscreen! An engine to TDi for!

Unless it's been inadvertantly dropped and picked up some grit. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

It would be too labour intensive to polish them out. If Defender ownership is anything to go by wait until the next deluge of rain and the unrepaired potholes to cough up a few stones and you may have to replace it anyway. Think I'm on my fourth now in 6 years.

A Jockbrite pad either green or red should not put any scratches in your screen if used correctly.
Jewellers Rouge, Brasso or T cut is the only way to remove the scratches, depending on the depth of the scratches will depend on how long you will be polishing, you may there a while. You only have one life, live it....forget the cost. 90XS Hardtop |

Personally I'd smack it with a hammer and get a new windscreen fitted though insurance company.
