Pretty simple - there are 4 screws holding the instrument panel on. (Two bottom, two side, it looks like there are more, but they don't hold it on)
Then pull the panel out far enough to get to the back of the gauges, and the light plug just slides out, then you pull the bulb. Easy 1998 110 300Tdi White Hard Top |

Try replacing (and the other bulbs) with LED bulbs (available on ebay). Just done the ones on my 90, amazing difference, can actually clearly read gauges at night now!! 1959 Series 2 Ragtop
