Here's the proof for my new Landrover wing badges,

Personally I love them,
Have chosen the one on the left and they will be handed for each wing

I like the speed liner. How much did you pay etc?

Also my roll cage turned up and looks identical to yours!

Yes I dealt with Kim for my hood, very helpful, still haven't fitted mine yet, have you gone for the tenex fittings For the hood?
I got the mohair hood in sand with side windows, very well built and will get it fitted this weekend.
38 holes to dril and tap for the hood fixings!

Went for the cheaper rope down hood with Black mohair with no side windows. Wish I had ordered sand now with zip up sides etc Smile maybe next year if I like it.

Took the roof off on Sunday afternoon. Since then I've been doing a little repair the cappings to tidy them up as they have a bit of surface rust. Sand down tomorrow, then final primer coat tomorrow evening. Stick some top coat on Thursday. Can then start bolting up the cage etc.

You had any snags so far?

Also was yours a hardtop previously? What are you telling the insurance?

Mine was a pickup which was listed as pickup/softtop on the log book so no issues with insurance.
Only issues I found was getting the doors to line up, big hint loosen the windscreen brackets first and then tighten these last.
Also lining up door shuts took an age.
If you have the clamp down header bar the gasket goes in the square groove, this is far from obvious.
Apart from that don't be surprised if your holes don't line up and need re drilling when you bolt the hoop set down mine where all half a hole out.

Trouble is when you strip everything out you end up rebuilding the Landrover !!

Yes very happy with the speedliner it's made a huge difference to the internal finish and is very hard wearing, I'm told it shouldn't wear during normal wear and tear but only time will tell.

It is also very forgivening in terms of what it covers up so yes very happy with it Mr. Green

hey fullfat,

what came with your heavy duty bar set? I started to unpack mine and found some bolts etc, but couldnt see any type of strengthener for where the nut will be underneath the capping? did you just use big penny washers? Can you share a photo of what it looks like underneath the bolt points of your cappings pls Smile

Hi you use the big penny washers for the fixing of the bars to the tub, the 20mm smaller washers are for the door sides and head.
My holes didn't line up, Landrover tolerances !!
Can send a few pictures tonight once home.

I'm assuming you got a fixing kit with yours?

Thanks
