We've talked a couple of times at our design meetings about manufacturing these covers but wasn't sure if there was a market - I'll take another look at a design / price

I'd be interested, provided they were waterproof(ish),durable and preferably black! (...non leather too - I know what you're like )

Black waterproof (ish) canvas for me too please! Nice snug fit, zip/Velcro closures where required.

I am not sure if they are still available but Melvill and Moon tick all the right boxes.

I would be interested in a set if they matched the material/style of the genuine LR covers.
The rear ones are as you say a bit of a let down with how they don't cover the seat bases, and I am sick of removing dog fur from them! 2001 90 HT 6.0LS/6spdAuto. 2003 90 td5 soft top. 2014 90 XS SW 2.2. |

The Exmoor ones don't protect the underside of the seat base.

Misread the posts..... Don't think any of them do.
Unless you just go for a stretch fit bag affair that covers the entire seat when folded perhaps? If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

I finished my boot liner for my 90 SW this last weekend.
Made from black cotton PU coated to make it waterproof Being a CAD designer i drew it all out and it resulted in a nice fit... Much better than the liner dad bought for his freelander 2 off LR! Sorry about the photo rotation, I'll sort this when I have a minute or two Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge [/img] |

Unfortunately I am no sewing expert so the finish isn't something I am prepared to sell, practice is needed! the seams are all on the back and robust enough to take the normal stick and abuse a load liner gets.
It took a couple of weeks to get a design and finally sewn together... But all in all I'm happy with how it fits/looks. Final cost came to around £60. Material, edging, thread. I'm also looking to make a cover that will Velcro over the bulkhead removal bar. It also folds up the back door and will eventually use press studs to hold it to the rest, ill sort that soon. I'll have some spare time in the next couple of weeks so I'll post a new thread or stick it in my 'my defender' thread... With material details etc. |
