Topic Reborn !
I just gathered some quotes for a roll cage ... I like the SD very much, but here it costs a LOT ! The nicest quote I got was from Whitbread Offroad ... I'd like to know your opinions about it ! Reliability ( I hope you never tried it!) how easy it is to fit, build quality, etc ... It costs me about £870...let's say I pay £200 for shipping, it's a lot cheaper than a SD one ! PS ... and by the way, if I fit a roll cage can I keep my mantec snorkel (the plastic one) Regards Joao '10 Land Rover Defender 110 CC '08 BMW F800GS '64 SIIA Forward Control '69 SIIA 109 ZA CKD _____________________________________________ You have the right to remain silent. Check me out trawling through old posts!! I would recomend Whitbread cages.... not because I have owned one but because they are about a 20min drive from my home and I have been down to the workshop and drooled over the quality of their work! Your plastic Mantec should fit with the Whitbread one as it goes through the wing apposed to the SD one which polts through it. The only thing you will need to do is work out a way to bolt it to the cage apposed to the windscreen frame (or go for a metal RC version like I have had to go for with my SD one). Hope this helps you make your mind up- that is if you haven't already ordered. Glyn |

I haven't ordered it because I wrote them asking some questions about shipping and stuff, and haven't got an answer yet ... That point about the snorkel is bothering me ... also asked them that ... ! I'll write them again... Thanks Glyn! ....by the way, if you pass at their door and don't have anything else to do, go in, drool a little more, and ask them to reply my email ...! Is this the plastic snorkel you have?
http://www.mantec.co.uk/productdetail.cfm?...D6B187B27# (Second picture of it) That one is fitted with a Whitbread cage. If you have the solid type one then I would say it won't fit. I am not back in UK at the moment, but when I am I will drop in and pester them for you.... Or if my folks are down that that way at some point I will ask them to pop in Glyn |

Malcolm fitted a Bearmach one to mine, shortened by 3 inches and it's fine. Never lost the top greenlaning yet!

Not sure you'll pick this up as its such an old post but I'm wondering Glyn if you could tell me where you got your rear load cover from?
Cheers David |
