Should be MTBing in Wales around 17th (1st ride since taking my shoulder out a few weeks ago). Probably in Hexham 25th Sep for a week Be gentle though I'm running a shiny on stock road tyres which has spent 5-weeks in the dealers having body repairs. So I'm not keen on damaging her
Thanks Harvey |

Hey Harvey good news. We have some real gentle lanes with no fear of bending anything but they allow you to see some scenery and have a good crack 59 2.4 110 XS Utility

someone no has mentioned is North Off Road. Shaun does excellent cages and they can be made custom to suit - like something at the rear to actually cover the back roof of a hardtop vehicle.
i have had one of his for 6 years or so now on my truck cab,. well made 52mm CDS and excellent value for money. its worth dropping him a line. Cheers James 110 2012 XS Utility 130 2011 M57 bespoke Camper 90 2010 Hardtop 90 M57 1988 Hardtop |

That's a kind offer, but sadly I think it might be difficult this Thursday due to work commitments. Perhaps another time (I see you are Wiltshire-based so presumably not too far away). I appreciate you very helpful answers too. Even though mine is a DC I use the space behind the 2nd row seats for storage and want to be able to continue to tip them, so it is good to know that there's no problem. (I have never figured out why LR bolt the DC secodn row seats in place as well as fitting the normal tipping catches!) |

Currently trying to stay clear of spending money on the Defender until the Warranty expires. But I WANT a lot of things
Engine tune, Roll cage, Better steering wheel, Better suspension, Better seats, I (well, wife, 6-month old daughter and I) shall be in Hexham in about three weeks if anyone is still up for some laning. My wife is looking forward to it, but I am not quite sure how our daughter will take to it Harvey |

I wonder is a shot of aerosol expanding foam down the relevent tubes would provide a cure for the problem of rusty water dripping onto the roof.
