Damnation, I definitely need to come up with another cunning plan!
Please, please do not mention how to enlarge the two holes in the rear cross member! Let's just say that the suggested methods of attaching a tailgate organiser to rear door card was slightly unorthodox and used items that the SAS are more familiar with then I am. Brendan |

Price?
We will be having a meeting with Peter and the Nakatanenga crew next week where we will have the odd beer or two and possibly even a sensible discussion. Our normal price is £570 plus £20 delivery PLEASE note that any group buy that is negotiated will be a one off event, so do not come back to us in 1 or 6 months time wanting the group buy price. IT will not be happening! Our prices include UK VAT at 20% Delivery is to mainland UK. Delivery to Highlands and Islands, remote areas, Northern Ireland, sunny places outside the UK, even not so sunny places outside the UK will attract a surcharge. What we are thinking of is 1 - 2 wheel carriers £570 including delivery 3 - 5 wheel Carriers less X% 6 - 9 wheel carriers less Y% 10+ wheel carriers less Z% The exact price will depend on results of us coming up with a cunning plan to twist Peters arm up his back. Once we know prices we will need confirmed orders with a £50 deposit. No deposit means no confirmed order means no wheel carrier at group buy price. In other words you will have to put your money where your mouth is! What we will not be doing is ordering 20 wheel carriers on a pallet just to sell one to MartinK If anyone is in a desperate hurry we do have stock of wheel carriers now so can send out and issue credit note/ refund dependent on final price of group buy. We will be putting a final closing date on this group buy soon. Payment by debit card or bank transfer only. Any questions ask away. Brendan |

Currently readily available in the UK for a drop down tailgate there is only the Safari Equip version which is not a single pivot wheel carrier. If you have canvas top you might have to relocate one of the rope cleats.
There is the Kaymar, Australian one available from Outback import in France for about 1300 euros. The Sonic/Alisport one is not currently in production, latest price I heard was about £1,080 Nakatanenga are working on a version but as Peter says it will not be available tomorrow or next week. Realistically end of year early 2015 Any questions ask away and this grumpy old git will try and answer them. Brendan |

Have been doing some long distance arm wrestling with Peter and result could be best described as an honourable draw after extra time
Prices of these wheel carriers will be going up in September by £40-4£5, which will put the UK price at about £615 from September. You have been warned! Prices to Defender 2 forum members including delivery and VAT 1 - 2 wheel carriers £570 save £20 3 - 5 wheel Carriers £545 save £45 6 - 9 wheel carriers £535 save £55 10+ wheel carriers £525 save £65 This offer will CLOSE ON 30TH OF JUNE We have some in stock and will arrange for more stock to be delivered late June/early July We WILL REQUIRE A DEPOSIT OF £50 TO CONFIRM YOUR ORDER We can only get a limited number of these wheel carriers at this price. So if you snooze you lose So IF you wish to partake of this offer send barbara@4x4overlander.com an email with your real name and address and she will send you an invoice with bank details for payment of the deposit. Please note since we are away next week we will not be able to accept card payments. Once we have final numbers etc and have the stock to send out we will ask for the remainder of the pennies To fit the wheel carrier you have to remove the rear door card. It might be worth considering fitting a door strut or the tailgate organiser at the same time as the fittings on the door card does not really like multiple. Any questions ask away and will do my best to answer them. Brendan |
