For sale is my ex Land Rover Monthly magazine car. As such it has had a lot of modifications done by companies featured in articles in the publication. The spec is huge and is as follows:
Sadly my 1990 registered 200TDI 90 Land Rover King Cab with 300TDI auto gearbox. The front winch is a Bowyer Goldfish wide spool version with remote control and air operated free spool from within the cab with separate ARB air pump, in a Famous Four tubular bumper. The rear one is a Warn low profile also remotely controlled and is in a locker between the chassis under the load bed floor. Both have plasma ropes. The BF Goodrich Mud Terrains are on Mach 5 wheels with an offset, and there are wider wheel arch extensions to suit with heavy duty side bars and Flatdog aluminium tree sliders. The roll cage is Whitbread installed by them at their factory in Wales with lights on the front bar. The suspension was done by Mudsport Automotive with 2 inch lift, using Adrenaline shocks, cranked radius arms all round, and uprated steering bars. The axles have protection and there is a West Mids 4X4 tubular front steering guard. The snorkel is a Southdown stainless one. There are 2 large batteries. The car is Auto Watch alarmed with immobiliser. The radio CD player is Kenwood with Ipod facility, running thru a Rockford amp and Alpine sub woofer with boxed Vibe QB 69 speakers. Raptor uprated dash professionally wired with extra lights. In the load bed on either side are aluminium 5 treadplate lockers. Nearside is the second battery and ARB air locker pump, and the offside is for off road gear storage. There is a work lamp on the roof bar in the load bed, and underneath is a Southdown heavy duty guard with removable tow pack and off road anchor point. Bonnet and wings have aluminium protection with Flatdog air scoops and Devon 4X4 side scoops , and the centre panel has military grade rubber straps for plasma or strop storage when off the road etc. The fuel tank has a Gwynn Lewis tank guard. No expense has been spared on this truck and the Defender has the spec of a challenge truck, but it has only been used for green lane trips and some pay and play days. Taxed until May 2015 and will be sold with a year's MOT. If I was to break this truck up and surrender the road tax, I know I could get more than this asking price for the parts alone. A lot of people that sell high spec trucks remove all of the goodies off of them for the next project. This one is for sale fully loaded. New Alternator 200 miles ago too!
