Does that include secret passages Confused
Imagine leading the tourists in then finding they're all full of Arbofoam... Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing...

I think the only cavity the surveyor might find with her Majesty is in the Annus horribilis Shocked

I'll get my coat now!

Had a problem topping up my Three mobile tonight. Took so long to get through to their helpline that I left the phone on the table on speakerphone while I ate my dessert! Eventually he said it was because my bank had changed my debit card. I asked for my PAC so that I could leave and find another phone provider. Hold on though, I thought, what if they are all as bad? I phoned Vodafone - couldn't get through. Phoned O2, couldn't get through. Phoned Orange, got through eventually, but it was obviously a foreign call centre and she didn't understand what I was asking. Everything really is shyte. Now left.

BBC have justed edited the word 'girl' out of a report. I kid you not, they just get more ridiculous. Feminist muppet Mariella Frostrup has defended the editing! Can the BBC get any worse? Now left.

Why does nobody ever remember defender???

Seriously!!

Saw an advert for some new fancy pants wipers from Michelin and thought "humm they look good, I'll give them a go" So off I tootled to there website and used there find your fitments section

Make: Land Rover
Model:NO DEFENDER FEATURED!!!

It's beyond belief how often when you click Land Rover they don't feature! It's a not like its a new model its been around since the 80's and in that time the wipers have remained the same size and shape so why doesn't it feature!!

Called in at B&Q today to buy a Tank Cutter (the thing that cuts holes in water tanks etc.)

Looked all over and could not find one so asked an assistant where can I find your Tank Cutters, he replied sorry sir we do not sell any military equipment. I do not think you would find a Tank cutter anywhere except at a special weapons company.
Bless him! Smile

It sucks. However, after trying 3 or 4 fancy wipers (including Silblades) I've concluded the basic ones work fine Thumbs Up

Happens all the time, what gets me is people who I have not seen for some time say 'Still got your Jeep then' as if in the intervening years I should have come to my senses and got rid!

Or even worse they say what do you need a Jeep for!

Yes, you need to ask for it "wet", which is no foam, all liquid. Thumbs Up

Ye Gods..........DVLA. At the start of April I changed the taxation class of my 110 to Disabled as a result of my eldest boy being awarded higher rate mobility with his new disability payment award, another story which took 11months to sort out.
When the paperwork came through I went to the Post Office and completed the forms and duly changed the V5 status and received a new tax disc valid for 12 months for nil payment. I took away with me the form required to get a refund on my current tax disc which was valid untill the end of June. Got home swopped the discs over, filled the form, took some copies and popped it in the post box.
In the first week of May I received in the post my new V5 complete with it marked up with Disabled in the Taxation Status, 2 days later I received a letter from DVLA saying that they can't refund the tax disc as they cannot see that the vehicle is declared SORN. I sent the form enclosed, still with no option to declare the vehicle Disabled, duly signed and written all across it that since they had processed the V5 as a disabled vehicle and had issued me allbeit via the Post Office a Disabled tax disc then they should damn well know why a refund has been requested.
Today I received yet another V5, all marked up as a Disabled Taxation Status so I tried the phone approach. Even though I live very close to Wales there is still a huge apparent language barrier. I explained that I was phoning to find out as to why I now had two V5's for the same vehicle. Eventually it was agreed that I should destroy the slightly older one and keep the latest, I then asked about the refund. Granted that I can't get a refund for April, technically the tax disc was surrendered on the 7th so I should be able to claim for May and June. After a close on 10 minute wait I got a "You'll get a refund within 10 days", I asked how much and for what period and was told that it is for £46 something and no he didn't know for what period. I know that it is for two months but it did seem that I was disturbing his quiet day, probably because I had changed my approach from asking politely to taking control of the conversation in order to get some answers.
