Does anyone have a Ozpig stove and if so who stocks them in the UK, as I'm struggling to find anyone on the Internet.
I'm considering a Frontier if I can't find one, but the Ozpig looks more versatile, from what I've seen on YouTube. |

I to have been looking for an ozpig or something similar, yesterday I came across this
http://dunsterhouse.co.uk/bbq-stoves/hope-bbq-stove and I think it looks pretty good. Has anybody out there seen or used one of these stoves? 2.2 2012 110 utility Orkney Grey Also Range Rover Evoque - Surprising but I like it. The cooking surface looks far bigger on the Dunster one than on both the Ozpig and the Frontier stoves. 2.2 2012 110 utility Orkney Grey

I have an ozpig, cobb, weber BBQ, coleman petrol burner and also a tentipi stainless steel wood burner.
I've taken the ozpig out a couple of times and it's pretty cool but does have plenty of drawbacks It's very heavy, takes a while and difficult to get hot (I use charcoal to get the heat for cooking) and the cooking surface is small, I slide the plate out the way, place a flat griddle over the opening for which the pan can sit. The other issue is it really doesn't give off that much heat, if you want the warmth you will almost have to sit on top of the thing to feel the heat. For me the tentipi burner is brilliant, gets very hot quickly, takes good size logs, decent flue and has a good area to heat the kettle in the morning. That being said, if you are wanting something to slow cook like the guys in SA do, then the ozpig would be great. |
