there is a regulation size , but as long it can be read ok ???
lots of bikes have smaller plates |

I put the front reg plate on the vent flap one of my previous Defenders, as far as I recollect there needs to be a minimum of 11mm all around the outside of the letters/numbers to remain legal, so there should be room unless you have a particularly long number

Nice one I have just fitted the same, and was looking to attach the plate to my roof rack...but the metal plate holder is just a tad shorter than the standard reg....so I was also thinking of trimming.. will make sure I leave 11mm cheers, g |
