Sorry forgot to mention ;
Would like to avoid any additional holes if possible (but looks like a hole into seat box is on the cards) And how about running cables behind the plastic moulding that goes over gearbox / forms the transmission tunnel as this has large seal round it which would clamp / seal cables? |

There are some plugs and grommets in the bulkhead where cables go through. There's room for more, I added some for my external engine temp. check.
May on the Puma they are on different places, but here they are on the earlier Defenders: I used nr. 5. So found the big fat grommet with various cables already in it and there's room still for what I need.
Problem is what is the best way to cut a nice round hole for a half inch conduit to go through - just use a Stanley knife and be careful? |

You should aim for a hole that is smaller than whatever it is you are feeding through. Take one sharp knife [Stanley blade or scalpel] and carefully cut a small X in the rubber, feed the cable through and then re-seal with mastic.
BUT can you not squeeze the additional cable through the existing hole in the grommet - a little silicone grease will help get it through. Steve. Thanks Steve....
It's started, I've already generated a hole in the large grommet adjacent the brake cylinder and hopefully it's large enough. The cables are going to be small but it's the plugs on the end that'll be the problem. Will hopefully resolve tomorrow now. I'm running the phone leads for my sub woofer |

Munch90...looked at this but once in the he area of the cubby box couldn't decide on where to go next?
My plan is to run the phono and switched live to down by the gearbox where I will pick up a permanent live and run to the rear and then back in for the sub. |
