Now I see a use for a 3 D printer, just have to wait for the cost of them to come down.

Lou Sparts: Ha! no sorry I don't think its that big of an innovation xD
LR90XS2011: Sure As long as its flat sheet I can cut anything from carbon fibre to steel to stone. Drop me a pm with what your thinking and will see what I can do. murphyboy: I suppose that could work but would be a very long winded way to do it. I've used 3D printers quite alot and to be honest If its a one off it might be worth doing but if your going to mass produce anything then forget it its just not cost effective. |

I do indeed have a spare on the bonnet and unfortunately the pot holed roads of Kent make the bonnet bounce with spare which wears the pins then the second you open the bonnet it snaps the thin section of the pin and hey presto rattle rattle rattle rattle.

We have a bonnet spare and have driven long distance on corrugated roads. Not experienced any problems with the hinges.
How good is the bonnet latch? Polyoxymethylene or Delrin also makes good bearing materials Brendan |

Suppose I could do, never thought of it like that. Will see how much they work out at, they might end up being more expensive than the standard ones which are only £2.50 each
Interesting to hear that. What size tyre and what wheels? I'm running 265/75/16 on steel modulars. Would love to upgrade to wolf rims but fear the weight of a wolf rim on the bonnet would destroy it. |
