Hi All,
I wonder if anyone out there has a torque setting for the filler plug on the gearbox and transfer (NOT the drain plug as the manual states the torque for this). Also any suggestions for the axle drain/filler plug torque (if any) or is it 'chamfered'. Welcome any suggestions. On another matter, The 'original' radio has a clock facility which sometimes the clock tells the time and sometimes the screen says 'No Clock' - There is nothing in the manual about this? Any knowledge on this? Joe 'El Pepe Flamenco' JLS 'El Pepe Flamenco' |

One thing to check for - both my front and rear diff filler plug threads were nackered from the factory.
Have a close look - I had to file mine with a thread file to get a decent fit. |

Torque Settings General Rules:
Upto 8mm - Quarter of a white knuckle. 9mm - 18mm - Half a white knuckle. 19mm - 30mm - Full white knuckle. 31mm - 40mm - Slight 'click' in wrist is heard. 41m - 57mm - Veins on neck to stand out like head is going to explode. 58mm upwards - You should jump up and down on the ratchet handle at least 6 times, if carried out by hand bloodcells in eyes must rupture and you need to go lie down for at least 20 minutes to recover composure. On the last two settings don't be surprised if you have to do a 'trolley check' for conkers even worse if you've had a night on the cider before.
