Before dismantling the dash have you checked the 'corrugated/spline' wheel on the outside?
Remove wipers and check if the splined wheel is operational. If the splined wheel rotates properly with wiper motor on then it could be something as simple as wear on the splines. That is a straightforward repair if that is the case. Brendan |

No movement on shaft to wiper arm. 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..

The wiper wheel box gear is probably stripped so on a puma dash a big chunk will have to be at least pulled forward

Mine went on 2007 puma.Put it down to trying to use wipers when windscreen was frozen.Had to change wiper spindle and cable.Cable has thread on it which rotates wiper spindle, both had striped.Managed just to loosten dash and pull foreward few inches.Big job to remove dash.It was trickey but can be done.Mobile mechanic friend helped said it reminded him of very old mini wiper system.

IIRC it is exactly like the old Mini just slightly different in length, I can't remember which way
