Or if you fancy fitting the DLR's yourself they do a kit

The DLR's work well switch on as soon as the engine is started dim to 50% brightness when side lights are switched on so as not dazzle on coming drivers at night.
And they have a see you home feature once the engine is switched off

Thank you. Always good to hear feedback. I'm just interested in any DRL BUMPER that is easily wired and does the job.
Does powder coated mean that it will look as rusty as the genuine bumper after a short time? Laughing 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

Took me twenty minutes to fit the outbound electrics, only four conections. Even less to fit the bumper. I bought the kit and had my stainless steel bumper drilled by a machine shop. Stainless steel bumper no more rust!!!

If the DRL's stay on when the sidelights are switched on -albeit dimming to 50%-will that not put more strain on the relayless light switch? 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

David Whittaker on here just fitted a new one to his recently from CSK and I think he was pleased.
Ive just taken off an old CSK one (no fault of its own its on my mates 90 now as i just wanted a plain galvanised bumper)
The quality seemed very nice and the powdercoating as good as you'll get. I think there very nicely made and good for the price if thats what your after. So i'd recommend them Thumbs Up Defender puma dormobile camper

As far as I am aware it is a legal requirement for DLR's to to dim at night any that do not could get you in trouble with the police and the MOT

Our rule 226 is this

use any lights in a way which would dazzle or cause discomfort to other road users, including pedestrians, cyclists and horse riders
And also EEC regulation 48 adopted by UK law
vehicles first used on or after 1 April 1987 or functionally dedicated daytime running lamps to be equipped with a dim-dip device.

Any of the bumpers fitted with DLR's or any kits that do not follow this may get you into trouble not only with th police and testers but irate motorists who you dazzle.
DLR's are very bright so they can be see in daylight so are very very bright at night.

I can confirm that the Outbound DRLs do 'dip' when the sides or mains come on, and that they come back to full brightness when the mains and sides are turned off.
Also that the DRLs come on a few seconds after the engine starts, and then stay on for about 90secs after the engine is turned off.

The whole thing was easy to fit - so much so even I could do it !
Outbound supplied all the needed cables, fuses and relays, the power is taken straight from the battery through the provided conenctions. there is no load on the vehicle relays or switches at all.

I was caught out as I found the lights were still on after I had turned off the engine and refitted the wires 3 times before I read the little bit on the bottom that said that .... the lights stayed on after turning off the engine ...

You can if so wish wire the positive to an ignition feed rather than direct to the battery that way the lights will go out as soon as the ignition is switched off.
The Outbound DLRs work off a control unit that switches the lights on at 13.5 volts IE when the engine is switched on and the alternator is running, that is why there is a five second delay with the light coming on.. The dim dip feature is achieved by connecting a wire to the positive feed of a sidelight and when the sidelights are switched on a 12V supply is sent to the control unit which reduced the power to the DLR's by 50%. The DLRs will continue to illuminate for short time after switching off the engine, but as soon as the battery voltage drops with no alternator feed they will switch off usually about 60 to 90 seconds.
