Fuel Filter Head Part No please.
Hi,

I have searched the forum for an answer but couldnt find anything, also the internet is bringing back different part numbers. What I'm looking for is the LR genuine part fuel filter head without the water sensor for a 2004 TD5. I believe there are Discovery and Defender versions and earlier and later types and I have got a bit lost, I could do with someone who knows for definate Confused

Thanks

It doesn't appear that the head is available without the filter and sensor coming with it.

For a 03MY Defender or later, the part number seems to be WJN500150 (same as 03MY on Disco2)
For 02MY or earlier, part number is WJN000020 (02MY or earlier Disco2 is different - WJN000030)

What the difference between the early and later is, I don't know. It doesn't match the 02MY engine change Confused  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

The main difference between WJN000020 and WJN500150 that I can see is £150!! Michael was just telling me a story about a friend of his who slept with a land rover, lonely nights in the desert..

If the filter head change does,nt coincide with the 2002 engine update should the earlier filter head work with the later engine Confused 2005 Td5 90 XS

People fit later engines in place of the earlier and don't update the fuel filter....  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

That's a good point, I doubt there are going to be majhor differences between them. I'm happy if it just does its job! Michael was just telling me a story about a friend of his who slept with a land rover, lonely nights in the desert..
