I love this photo, the defender just looks right at home there. With hardknott fort in the background. Many a happy hour I have spent up there walking around that fort. |

Nice pictures, love the last one.
Is there a 2015 Defender2.net calendar. Ideal picture. Can I take it and use as my desktop wallpaper in work ? 1999 Defender TD5 110 Regards John M0VAZ Econet Station 48 no clock |

Hi, is that a circular route or do you have to turn round when you get to the Wasdale Inn? Quite fancy that trip this weekend.
Thanks |

Wasdale Inn is at the end of the road. Well the tarmac road, no idea if there are any green lands you can use to come back a different way.
Tip if you've not been before. The road to Wasdale and Hardknott pass is very busy during the holiday season. If you want to do them, best to them early in the morning, before all those who have no idea how wide/long their cars are get up and on the roads. |

Thank you all for your kind comments - the scenery means the photos kind of take themselves!
@excossack be my guest @landiedave @Dave78 is right, it's all footpaths from there on. They do take you up Great Gable or Scafell Pike though, so they are definitely worth getting out of the cab for Fully Restored 89 110 CSW V8 CLS 350 CDI for the sensible stuff |

Very nice - where was this? (Edit) Actually I'm going to guess - top of the hill before you drop down into Landale from the western end?
