I am not sure if it will be the Detroit locker in the rear axle and the tru-trac in the front axle or if it will be my 35" Simexes.

Rear door gas strut is the most useful IMO, my favourite mod all round must be going to KM2's mud terrains.
They are excellent for their purpose and look good to boot as well. |

Mine has to be changing to soft top (im sure that counts as a modification) Definitely cured the slight temptation of changing to a different type of car for me, means it can be my work van and fun car in one Defender puma dormobile camper

Dixon Bate tow hitch. Functional and flexible. I'm trying to work out how to replicate it on my D3 at the moment Darren

Go to your local Go Outdoor shop & buy their cheapest wooden walking stick, costs less than £8!
This then doubles up as a rear door strut; as it's an ideal length to wedge inside the door card, whilst the rubber tip holds the door open even on tarmac & is also the perfect size for wedging between a 90 HT with TGE side defenders (and even holds the stick securely in place whilst off roading) Don't forget to measure first as they seem to vary -/+ 2cm. It took me no more than 5mins to find the one! TT "Ease your worries, Clear-up your woes, Go into your garage & put stuff into rows." |
