You should not have any issues at all in getting it all done under warranty
Mine went in exactly the same places, and they replaced them with no argument at all. Just give it a good look over before the service and point out every little thing. Including the bumper bolts, rear cross member bolts etc. the only problem is they will replace the bolts with the exact same rubbish, and they will rust again in a few months. |

That isn't good enough for the age or miles at all. Mines just over six years old and 30k and it's not as bad as that in those locations. And that's before bring Dinitrolled too.
They should sort that out for you, if they want to replace with the safe rubbish source the items yourself and ask them to fit it... |

I'm going to go back out and check the mirror arms and sliding window hinges.
I'll check the bumper bolts as well. I'm hoping this is the source of the red leak on the front chassis member! Reading throughout the forum it does seem like people are getting these issues sorted out but the dealers. It just seems crazy that there is so little anti corrosion protection put in place a the factory. |

the red dust is because there is a bolt missing through the hole you can see just behind front panel . the hole is for one of the bonnet lock panel stays or for aircon rad mount frame , should be m8 bolt in there . the hole is bigger than 8mm but that's what it has.

Yes, I agree. I didn't do the Dinitrolling even close to well enough I'm a newbie at this and though I had soaked the thing in Dinitrol I will try and get the grille off tonight and check for the missing M8 bolt. It was missing 3 bolts holding the rear seats in when I first got it so a few more is no surprise! I guess i'll under there again in the dry weather and adding A LOT more Dinitrol and A LOT of ACF50. God knows what i would have looked like if i'd done nothing at all! |

Looks like all the usual places. Also check the rear edge of the bumper, bulkhead area where the screen block bolts are on the inside and along the length of the foam seal [pop out the lower dash speakers], side steps / bars, towbar etc..... Steve.
Owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades. Current Defender: A non tarts hand-bagged Puma 110 XS USW. [Insert something impressive here such as extensive list of previous Land Rovers or examples of your prestigeous and expensive items, trinkets, houses, bikes, vehicles etc] http://forums.lr4x4.com I used to be Miserable ...but now I'm ecstatic. |
