The gist of it seems to be get one you can stand on - and you can stand on all the ones listed(?). The plastic mud one is the cheapest, and you may not need one...

I tend to buy off mud if they offer a product,

When I looked at one at a show recently, I was a bit surprised to see it was open underneath, I was expecting a box like section running the underside of the snow cowl to where it meets the opening. 1999 Defender TD5 110

snow cowl
Hello,

I can recommend the snow cowl of offroad-tec. I have one of these - very good quality. He offers them in LHD/ RHD. If you want to have a cowl in a special colour - he will deliver it in car-colour. Ask him - he is very affable.
