Series 3 rim size

Can anybody tell me with what rim size did the seires 3 come out, was it 15" rims or 16" rims. I have currently 235/16/85 tires on myne meaning 16" rims, and I want to put spacers on my wheels to bring them ou slightly but it looks like if i do it, that my wheels will touch the body. So it means I need to lift it as well, and I don't want to lift it, I just want to bring the wheels out a little bit.

16"x5" wide on swb 16x5.5 lwb

You shouldnt need to lift it for 235's it will be fine on standard suspension
