Rusted I was going to get the dealer to replace them but if they keep rusting I will look for a better quality after market set. Bob |

I think it's to be expected on a Defender, headlamp bezels are known to rust, I doubt it's specific to the Puma.

where did you get them from Ken? Are they any better than the originals? Maybe I should just strip them and properly red oxide and paint them. One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS + New Defender 110 First Edition |

Surprising no one is doing stainless steel bezels.
I have 2 pairs, replace them every 6 months by a refurbished pair which have been sanded the rust away, treated with ku-rust (Halfords) and then sprayed generously with hammerite finish. then the fitted screws are given a liberal application of 'copper slip'. Tedious, yes, but keeps things in check! joe 'El pepe flamenco' JLS 'El Pepe Flamenco' |

Had a pair of these chrome jobbies on for nearly 7 or 8 months throughout the harsh Winter. Seem to be holding up well with no signs of rust yet! Covered before here: http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic298.ht...pac+bezels

Quick update.
Have been in contact with a company who are looking at the possiblity of getting replacements made from stainless steel. Obviously, if the cost is to high it will be a non starter. Watch this space, it could be a while though. Bob |
