Had an idea that zip ties might be easier for the seats.

Cut the Hogrings to remove, then on refit use Zip ties Thumbs Up

Still got Pass Front backrest to cover so will try it and report back Thumbs Up

Great thread, and really useful! Thanks. Thumbs Up

One question - why are all the seatbacks on the rear seat different in terms of the panelling? I can understand the centre being a different pattern, but why are the outers so different (six panels on the o/s, 3 panels on the n/s, and one panel on the centre)?

Where did you get the roof trim lining from?

Expensive?

I didn't know the seatbacks were different until I installed them.

They are both Gen LR parts but I don't know why, maybe why I got them on the cheap. Whistle

EDIT: Different MY on the XS had a change at some point, I have both Laughing

No, it's nothing like alcantara.

More like a massive sheet of Fuzzy Felt

Hi, I've got a quick question for you Mr. Green how far into the section you cut out of the rear wheel tubs do the seats sit? I hopefully have some seats coming next week and I picked up all the brackets yesterday, so I'm just trying to figure out what else I need before I start the job Thumbs Up
Cheers

Sod's muther cooking law!!

So after battling with bar steward f-ing hog rings retiming every seat I did the last one tonight, just the back of a front was left. I had a thought that rather than carefully bending each hogging out and than reshaping it ready to be re-used I could try zip ties

So I did,

and they work soooo much better

they are

easier
faster
better!!

And to get the old covers off you can just use side cutters to clip the old rings off
