Have you ever come by....
I can have the odd blonde moment, but locking cars are always a priority....
Up this morning and moving the DC to where it should be parked and the doors were unlocked. Parked up and definitely hit the lock on the remote. Home tonight and the damn thing was open again....

Now the paranoia has set in, grilled the wife and kids as the spare set are within reach. No takers there..Keep bobbing out and trying the doors, all ok up to now.

So has anyone come by the same thing...

Regards Mac.

My Alfa Romeo would do that (sold it ages ago), lock it and it was always open when I got back. Turned out to be the alarm unit, it was sitting in a pool of water in the boot. I unplugged the alarm box and it'd stay shut but of course it'd have no alarm!

Given all the rain we've had, could it be water ingress somewhere?

Was ahving this on my Puma until recently but with added alarm going off. Seems that the centarl locking actuator was faulty on passenger door. Was also advised by another member here that bad earth can cause this type of fault. Good Luck.

I had exactly this problem on my Puma last year.

It was a faulty actuator.

Sometimes it would unlock immediately, sometimes not for an hour or two.

I've walked away from ours a few times pressing the lock button, only to come back to find it unlocked.

Now I stand in front of it, point the fob at it and mash the button til I hear it go clunk.

Will pay more attention and see if it happens again ... 2009 110 XS Station Wagon

I've found the same on my TD5 a couple of times but put it down to accidently kitting the unlock key whilst in pocket. Mine doesn't blip-blip on lock/unlock and it does take much pressure to push it.

That said one of the rear doors needs locking manually as the actuator has gone so could be related to that

I know someone who had a similar problem on a Range Rover, he would lock the vehicle and on his return the vehicle was unlocked and the indicators would be flashing, it only happened when he was at work .
He had all the electronic and actuators checked and eventualy changed when on two occasions the vehicle was totally immobilised and had to be returned to a dealership, but the problem persisted.
He mentioned the problem to someone who lived near by his place of work and it turned out that a number of people had the same problem on varying vehicles but only when parked in certain locations.

It was later found out to be a rouge Wi-Fi signal coming from a house near by that was causing the problems. He did tell me how they found out but I got lost 30 seconds into the explanation. Don't make old people mad.
We don't like being old in the first place,
so it doesn't take much to Censored us off.
