Ours was smaller , 12 x 10 but still wasn't much use as a kite Growing your own is supposed to be cheap, but a new one is about £1200

It's a long shot but would your home insurance cover it? The greenhouse people are good for repairs for bits and pieces too.
Even getting a single pane of glass is easier said than done these days. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R 🇬🇧ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ¥ó ®ó §ó ¿ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ·ó ¬ó ³ó ¿ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ³ó £ó ´ó ¿ðŸ‡®ðŸ‡ªðŸ‡ºðŸ‡¸â›½ï¸ðŸ›¢ï¸âš™ï¸ðŸ§°ðŸ’ª |

They probably would Steve, but I would think they will be rather busy at the moment My greenhouse looks trivial when you compare to others recent misfortune. Its not worth repairing, there is alot of bent ali bits, and I had 2 barrow fulls of broken glass. It was ripped apart by the base, shearing bolts and ripping them through the base frame I still have a smaller one, that we use just for tomatoes so we won't go hungry

I was considering buying a greenhouse.
Think I'll stick with cold frames. |

We have a swift wooden greenhouse with potting shed on the end, bit more weight to them and also in a sheltered spot, having said that a garden wall was blown over last week |

I think more than anything its the extreme weather that's the problem. We are on top of a hill with open feilds for a number of miles in all directions. I hate to think how fast the wind was on Friday night. We lost a few slates of the roof as well You could hear them bouncing around all night. I spoke to a neighbor who's lived up here for over 50 years, and he's never know winds like it ( sounds a bit like that fishermans friends advert )

You might try going to a good glazier and asking for "Green House glass" I use a local one who will cut the glass to size for me. I have lost 5 pane's this winter so far and we have had it quite good so far Don't make old people mad. We don't like being old in the first place, so it doesn't take much to us off. Richard |
