My Defender was fitted at the dealer with a LR drop plate and tow ball. Is the LR tow ball compatible with ALKO stabilisers, or do I need to change it for an ALKO compatible one?
Thanks Tony |

Ideally you need the Alko ball which has a longer neck to fit the Alko hitch with the stabiliser fitment. LANDYWATCH

Try it.
Mine had an OE towball fitted. Takes out Alko hitch on the caravan easily. |

not a answer or help
we had a transit in during the week where the tow ball itself only had one bolt in it and that was loose allowing the ball to twist round ,, but still had a trailer (not a small one either ) on it when they pulled up and asked if it was ok to use !!!!. |

Thanks all, a mixed response then, but as an ALKO unit is not that expensive then it looks like that is the way to go.
Thanks all Tony |
