United Kingdom 2015 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 USW Keswick Green
As a poverty spec runs 205's with a 500mm max depth and my 110 double cab runs 235's on HD springs from factory would that mean I should be able to go deeper standard Question

3. Don’t drive through fast-moving water, such as at a flooded bridge approach – your car could easily be swept away.

I've seen that done last weekend... I thought that is asking for trouble.
Less than a week later and I see this in the paper at the the same place. Rolling Eyes

I'd imagine the difference if any would actually be very difficult to discern from the driving seat?

Do HD springs actually have a greater free length than standard or is it just a rate change?

And was smelly - remember flood water contains all sorts on contaminates & in rural areas you will be wading through the contents of someone's septic tank ��

England 
Somerset Levels are currently a pleasant mix of septic tank, dead wildlife and slurry. Oddly enough I'm not wild about voluntarily driving through that.

Iv had the water over the bonnet in my truck although it does start finding every way in

I have made several crossings in and around the Okovango Delta where the water was easily 15 meters wide and 900mm deep pulling a 1 tone camping trailer no problems at all. the only modification I did was to add a Safari snorkel and I sealed the join near the wheel arch where the 2 molded pieces of plastic join.

My RAI is not specifically watertight and I have had water up to the exterior door handles more than once. It is not a problem provided you know what you are doing and how to do it. It is the driver, not the depth, that is usually the problem.

Just remember with that sort of depth you are getting to the point you may have to open a door to flood the vehicle to stop it floating, and it takes a very long time to dry it out afterwards.

I've had water over the top of my wellies while driving my standard petrol SI before now. Much quicker to dry than the Puma!

There is nothing to seal the clutch on my Def 2012.
No intention to go in water to.
Phil current : defender 110 sw 2.2 puma 2012 and 230.000km today and
again my Range Rover VM2.5 engine from 1992 and 528.000km today.

Fair play to the guy in that video...

I wouldn't take my TDCi through that. He either knew how deep it was and was playing up for the camera or he was a bit stupid and could have wrecked his truck.
