First service due - which dealer?
First service rapidly coming up, so going to phone around for prices. My nearest dealers are:

Guy Salmon, Thames Ditton
Wimbledon Land Rover Service Centre <- this is probably the nearest one...
Lookers, Battersea

Any good or bad amongst them?

Are you seeking the cheapest price or the highest quality?

Hopefully somewhere between the two... a good job at a sensible price.

There shouldn't be any variation in quality, a Land Rover service will be done the the same standard from one dealer to the next.
Wimbledon isn't a dealer, just an approved service centre, although you'll still get the same service. It normally comes down to price, and how much of a good deal you can get! Have a ring around and see what sort of prices you can get. Thumbs Up An engine to TDi for!

If you can stretch to a drive down the A3 to Guildford I can thoroughly recommend Guava. Great service and good value.

Edit: mention you're a member of the Defender 2 site and you'll get a discount

I'm sure Land Rover HQ and many customers share your view regarding consistent service delivery. As you clearly state - there shouldn't be any variation in quality but do you honestly believe that is the case. If you want to see consistency of product and service across the UK and indeed internationally - visit McDonald's. My personal experience of Land Rover dealerships suggests they have some way to go.

I prefer to use a dealer/service department who regularly sells/services Defenders. This avoids the "they all do that, Sir" replies that have a tendency to used at dealers who focus mostly on RR, Disco and Evoque.

Harwoods Edenbridge have a super service department (in my opinion).
