2008 Puma. When I blip to lock the locks drop but then pop open and set the alarm off after 3-4 seconds.
Anybody had this happen and if so what was the cause/solution? Thanks in advance. |

Had something similar, and was due to a bad earth on the interior light.

PJW You're spot on! Just went out, switched off internal lights-locked no probs, switched tham back on again and same thing as before. Do you know where the bad earth was?

I never did find out as it cured itself. Only used to happen when it was really wet, i.e. after using a jet wash or heavy spray on the motorway. I pinned it down to interior light as it used to flicker when the central locking played up. Do you have a RAI as I've always suspected it may be where the RAI bracket screws in at the side of the windscreen as the wiring is underneath?

No. No RAI but the headlining has been down to fit cb aerial so thats a possibility. Will get everything checked over when I fit the Xdefend steering lock.
 In the meantime I've switched of the interior lights.
