It amazes me that to this day LR still don't put an interior light over the 2nd row of seats either in a double cab or station wagon. I soon did this after buying my SW and is one of the best things I ever did, now with leds fitted it is just spot on. It's not a mod that costs a great deal of money, just another interior light fitting, I used a bit of ply to help fix it in place and your time.

I'm a little behind on this, but how did you actually fix it above the headlining? Just about to do the same to mine.

I used a standard Defender courtesy light that fixes to the headlining. A metal bracket sits one side of the headlining and the light unit bolts to it effectively sandwiching the headlining. 2015 90 XS CSW TDCi - Beautiful

Need some help please form someone who has added a second row light!!!
I had the headlining down to add int he sound proofing last weekend and decided to add a second row light into the 110 SW. So I have taken three wires from the cables on the rear light by splicing into them with crimps, then running the cables through the headlining and out of a hole I have cut in the headlining above the second row seats.... I haven't connected the second row lights up yet but the front light and the rear light now don't operate with the door opening but are either on or off only? I am also trying to add a light to the vanity mirror for the better half but not surge where to take this feed from now? Please could someone help me to understand: 1 - Have I done the right thing in taking the feeds directly form the three wires on the rear light? 2 - Where can I get the feed for the vanity mirror from? Thought this would be really simple... Thanks in advance fro any help!!! James |
