Think the washer is in the wrong place. Isn't it meant to be between the roll bar and the bush.

That's a very good question, and one I need some advice on. As I understand it changing the front ARB has a marked effect on over/understeer, and I'm happy with what we have at the moment. At least, I'm not concerned about changing it. Also as I understand it -- not sure if this is just on 110s -- much of the body roll can be absorbed by just uprating the rear ARB. Buying just the one might also be cheaper. Also interesting that the XEng XDeflex is only suitable for the rear (I think) -- would be good to know why. By standard I mean I don't quite know what I mean: I'm assuming they're the factory fitted ARB for a 2009 110. 2009 110 XS Station Wagon |

I took advice from 2 sponsors on here and I was advised to leave the front ARB as standard and for my 90 only go to the 25mm rear ARB to ensure the over/under steer is not compromised.
It has made a massive difference, it will flow nicely through corners, feels tight at the rear if you do get a tad adventurous and I have never had a problem with articulation. BM52 |

An ARB basically is a spring and the side effects are similar (only working on the lateral movement, that's why it's used to reduce body roll) --> stiffer at the front = more understeer, stiffer at the rear = more oversteer. If you have no ARB's at all (like my car had) I would fit them at both ends. If you have the standard ARB's you might finetune handling by fitting a stiffer ARB on the rear. Also make sure that the bushes and droplinks are in good nick and/or fit stiffer PU ones. |

Last week I fitted a 30mm front roll bar and 25.4mm rear. Massive improvement over the standard ones my 110 came with.
