Get the Melvill and Moon seat covers in as soon as you can. They look great but more importantly they carry out a darn important function and do it very well. Far and away the best covers i've ever owned. They work.

I do like your classic tilt. If I ever go back to a canvas tilt on my DC that classic SIII style is what I shall fit.

Canvas Hood from All Wheel Trim - does this solve the issue of water leaking in under the cover at the leading corners just below the quarter windows?

There is still a small amount of rainwater still getting in, but I think that is due more to the canvas weathering in than anything else. They make the canvas slightly big so that when it shrinks to shape the thread becomes more tightly packed and more waterproof; It takes about 3 months to weather in. In all the stormy weather we have all had lately, there has been a tiny amount of water appear beside my spare wheel, but nothing compared with what was leaking in before!
The leading corners are protected by a canvas lip that is pulled down to touch the body. It is reallllllly important to tie the ropes as tightly as possible here, because when the canvas starts to shrink they will start to 'ride up'. They are indeed, top class company. They had no issues with me wanting it without a rear window. As soon as I ordered it over the phone they cut the canvas out and made it from scratch. It arrived by courier a few days later. I can't fault them at all. Zermatt Silver 2.4 (with Alive stage 1 remap) TDCi 110 Double Cab Pick Up

I added the A-Bar and Lightforce 170 Spots at new year. I have had them lying around for a while, but didn't seem to get a chance to fit them. I've not wired the lights up yet; I am still waiting on the aux dash switches arriving through the post.

Hi Chris,
It's looking good, can't wait to have a proper look around when you move up here later in the year. The sooner you get up here, the sooner you can grab some overtime and start making a dent in that shopping list Keep me posted mate, Josh 2007 (57) Defender 90 (Sold) Looking for another to replace it. The road less travelled.... is a muddy one! |
