Over the past few days I have fitted my new Truck-lite phase 7 LED headlights (from Brendan at 4x4 Overlander) with mud stuff piggyback wiring loom, a new headlight Mounting Bowl on my nearside, to replace the one I broke a few months ago and sidelight and indicator guards.

Looking good, what do you reckon to the Trucklites now you have them fitted?
Have you got the Lightforce Spots wired up yet, or was that what you were attempting when you broke your headlight harness.... Mark S CONVOY for HEROES www.facebook.com/convoy4heroes www.lothian4x4response.org ------ Td5 90 Thread in 'My Defender' Forum |

Hey Bro,
I really like the Trucklites; Main beam is amazing! I still need to adjust dipped beam to give me good visibility on country roads, but that will come with time and trial. I have not wired up the spot's yet because I can't get the radio out of the dash to fit the aux switch. I meant to put Mounting Bowl instead of harness; In fact it was you that broke it when you were helping me fit the stainless Bezel rings when I first got it, do you remember that little bit of plastic that fused to the screw and snapped off in your hand?! The stock headlamps balanced nicely on their adjustment screws so I forgot that it was broken until I fitted the much heavier TL's. They just kept falling out so I had to get a new mounting bowl to replace it. Yes I'm sorely tempted by the trucklites,
If its any consolation you'll remember it took me a couple of years before I got my spotlights fitted & working, although they were more complicated & needed the Warn loom. I still haven't done anything about a roofrack-mounted led bar, but MOT & insurance falling in the same month hits the bank account just a tad.... I wondered if you meant the bowl or if you'd just got annoyed with it & broke somethign else Mark S CONVOY for HEROES www.facebook.com/convoy4heroes www.lothian4x4response.org ------ Td5 90 Thread in 'My Defender' Forum |
