He's still a pup, so will want to play, and like you say, will try and be top dog. Charlie is exactly the same, and sometimes we worry that its getting to aggressive. He usually wears himself out and looses interest.
Perhaps Monty would benefit from some gun-dog training? Even if you don't want to 'work' him, its great for socialising him and meeting other dogs. Another thing might be dog agility, which is something we did with Lola after the pups had gone. She loves it, although will never win a prize as she gets distracted too easily. We must get together again. I am going camping with some of the D3 lads in Buxton January 10-11 (yes we are mad, but its good fun if you have good kit) and I will be taking the dogs. Let me know if your interested? http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/post1197133.html#d3top 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE D300 MHEV 1966 S2a 109 aka Betsy 1968 S2a 88 aka Bob 2014 Jaaaag F Type 3.0 Supercharged. |

Never got around to adding a piccy of our 6yr old ESS, Tia........so I'm doing it now - as a tribute, as we had her PTS last week after a very short illness. To say that I'm gutted would be an understatement.........first time in 18yrs that we've not had a dog in the house

Sorry to hear this news, thoughts with you.
2 years ago we had our 16 year old jack russell PTS and decided we would have a 6 month break and some time without having to rush home for digger or sorting out holidays we could take him on. 6 months lasted 30 days and it was off to dogstrust for a new dog called missie |
