Cut into wire number 4 (black and grey) and connect the blue wire from the check temp to one end of it and the grey wire from the check temp to the other side. Very easy to do and works very well. Climate control for £50! Very Happy

the relay of the CheckTemp must be connected to the pin 4 of the C0275 Defender connector (Aircon ON/OFF)

CheckTemp installation scheme

LR scheme

LR connector library

In this way you turn-ON the A/C and the CheckTemp A/C function: now the CheckTemp will manage the internal Temperature like you request (Check temp stored value)

This is pretty much the last connection I need to make on the FCX 130 dash and identified the switch circuit on the A/C switch but couldn't put my hands on the Checktemp instructions Embarassed

Well, another successful installation of this excellent product, (bought off Amazon)

A massive thank you to all those useful posts before without which I may not have attempted it.

Just a few additions to make it even easier for any doubters!!

1) It is quite a 'manly pull' to remove the fascia -I didn't need to unplug the clock

2) If siting the display high to the side of the steering wheel, put masking tape on the wheel itself as it is easy to catch it with the file.

3) The plastic dash is sl too thick for the retaining clips of the display surround so file diagonally to thin them and it sites beautifully

4) If you remove the plastic moulding just above the steering wheel, you can just see the large oval grommet taking the main loom to the engine bay. A knitting needle pushed through from the engine bay can then be used to draw the outside sensor wire back through into the engine bay. It is a double grommet so be patient and expect to feel it go through a second resistance!

5) Tape sensor wire to loom on wing and I dropped it down behind the radiator grill which I removed to site the sensor itself.

6) Inner sensor easy to locate on dash at bottom right as shown previously

Job done -about 1 hour for electrics, 1 hour for filing and 1.5 hours for the outer sensor (but I did stop for 2 cuppas in that time too

All I need to do now is work out the German instructions to set the clock!!

Thanks again to those before me!! Richard

Yes - all is fine

Only sl mod would be not to site the internal sensor as close to the heater but would route to another location Richard

fitted checktemp
Just fitted one of these units, I wanted one for a while but just could not bring myself to cut the dash to fit it. Eventually I gave in and purchased one.
Thanks to all those who posted their comments and fitting instructions- this made the whole thing very painless indeed!!!

purchased from amazon at a reasonable price for what is a good quality and accurate bit of kit- looks factory fit!
