Some have the gap you describe, some don't.
It won't hurt to seal the box (if you can) You could also pack the tools in a waterproof bag |

The Puma battery does have a gas vent tube that goes out of the battery box completely.

Thanks chaps, all seems good advice. I think I'll try to seal the box (but leave the vent tube). Time to get the sikaflex out
![]() I drove through a flood the other night, tbh, I was showing off as some lesser cars had stopped at the edge of the lake. Being a landy I charged through, soaking them (on the outside anyway) looks like my payback ![]() |
