2001 Defender 110 Td5 CSW Java Black
It's all well and good now but do you have any proof that it was a particular vehicle without a tacho that took the vehicle and what will it really achieve? Police and DVLA are unlikely to chase it up now it's easier to prosecute when people are caught in the act. Surely you want to stay on their good side if you want your motor back fixed or money returned? If I was in your position wouldn't bother me how they collected it aslong as it was safely returned back to me all fixed. Agree doesn't sound a very professional outfit and would be checking any work carried out very carefully! 2001 TD5 110 County Station Wagon - sold

Sorry mate didn't see your other reply before posting makes sense now if they have been holding your vehicle for 2 months! Sounds like a very good reputable dealer that one. Rolling Eyes good luck! 2001 TD5 110 County Station Wagon - sold

Yeah Dan,

Once all over and done with I will b e advertising EVERYWHERE. Not fun owning a vehicle for 4 months and only drove it about 500 miles- if that (which included 3 breakdowns).

Unfortunately any niceness is well and truly gone. After 3 months of problems and calling me in on 5 separate occasions (54 mile round trip) with 'The work is done' only to turn up and find nothing done they did offer me a refund minus what they felt was 'acceptable depreciation' and they got to keep the remaining 9 months road tax Rolling Eyes

Yes it should, no doubt about it, no excuse.

It isn't a recovery vehicle by any legal definition and cannot be treated as such.
