hi Khasar, the pipe that runs from the back of the airbox to the rocker cover, about 150mm from the airbox there is a connection, are there any electrical wires on the pipe ?

I have similar problems with my Puma 2007. When temperature dropped lower than -12C, I had gas burner with me. When I can feel missing fuel I had to heat up the filter with gas burner. I never had these problems with 2001 TD5, they are both in the same open garage and have the same fuel. BOTJAN

vodonos: lot of people still do that here, especially on russian cars. some just make campfire style fire under the
engine, but doing that every morning at temperatures of -20 to -30 is not for me. there are limits to even a defender owner but yes i've seen lot of people perform similar measures which do get car started. But would advise to check the glow plugs on yours, might be a similar case with mine where some are not working. although it will take you 30 min to 1 hour to get them, well worth the time and knowing if its case. Eduardo: Good luck on your trip and thanks for the bulletin info. Click image to enlarge |
