I have a 52/03 defender hard top, that's been converted to county spec. Still paying £185 road tax!!

If you are with the NFU insurance, it may save you some money on insurance as it will no longer be classified on their commercial policy (no windows now puts you in a commercial class) and revert to a cheaper car policy.

If you are with the NFU, landrovers with side windows come under a standard car policy (private) but if you no windows (van) then they class it under their commercial policies which are more expensive. It beats me, but that's what they have told me and I pay accordingly.

I think it depends a lot on which branch of NFU you're with. My local branch manager's a member of the SROC and understands better than most. |

I am insured with NFU, told them I had windows still on commercial policy - light van I think.
£310 a year with no no claims - they gave me 7 years no claims and protected it all in the price e (personally no no claims as 3rd car) Steve Defender 90 TD5 Station Wagon Discovery 3 HSE BMW 330i Coupe |
