update time...
flew out to work on the 18th and will be at work over Christmas so the wife and I had our chrissy early. Got Mulgo seat rail extensions among other things no more knees on the dash for me... over the past few weeks I've fitted a couple of goodies Hayman Reese Towbar Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Tekonsha P3 Electronic Brake Controller Click image to enlarge swivel Recovery Points in the front bar Click image to enlarge Looking around at roof racks at the moment, I like the alloy, flat deck ones from Hannibal/frontrunner/windcheater and also the "Tradesman" racks from ARB, but reckon I'm going to go with a steel Deluxe ARB 2200mm item dunno why, I just like it http://arb.com.au/products/roof-racks-and-...s/3800100/ Unless someone can talk me out of it? The roof is rated to 150kg and I don't intend on putting to much heavy gear up there, mainly just the bulky stuff, heaviest thing will be the spare for the camper trailer. Thoughts? Looking at ladders to, what's peoples suggestions? I like the Hannibal or Frontrunner items, IMO they seem to be the best looking of an ugly bunch. The Defender never had front mudflaps and I damaged one of the rears. so the old rears are now going on the camper trailer and I ordered new front and rears and brackets from https://www.lrdirect.com/ the price for a full set of 4 with postage was $20 dearer than just the front ones at my local dealer. And that's where I'm at now.... Hope everyone has a safe and happy chrissy, it's just another day in the desert for me, but it pays the bills. :D Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated |

Started making a false floor/rear drawer for the big girl today, just waiting for the drawer runners and latch to show up now so I can finish off making the actual drawer. Also mounted the drop down fridge slide.
Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Also stuck two 100Ah batteries under one side of the false floor, yet to be wired up. Maybe a project for tomorrow Click image to enlarge Couple days ago, I fitted seat rail extensions, what a difference no more knees on the dash. Finished wiring up the auxillary batteries, used a voltage sensitive relay. Cuts out at 12.6v and cuts back in at 13.7v
Also picked up the ball-bearing slides and latches for the drawer. Slides are 850mm long full extension type and are good for 130 kg as a pair fully extended, 200kg when closed. Will post pics when done Also ordered a full length roof-rack, rear access ladder and cargo barrier. Should be here on Friday, then once the rack is on 4 lightforce spotties will be getting mounted up there |

This is the result Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge And mounted and hard wired a 10 amp charger to the auxillary batteries Click image to enlarge Still waiting on roof rack, cargo barrier, and rear ladder, supposed to be here last Friday, now supposed to be here by end of this week.
