They look good
Stop a lot of noise from the rear wheelarches (especially in the rain) as well I suspect ? Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's) |

they do indeed - although the heavy sound-deadening kit does that too ...

Where can you buy these from?
Assume they are very robust and wont crack up with large stones clattering into them? |

The front liners you can get from Landrover as they come fitted as standard on some models. The rears look to be made from HGV spray suppression mudflaps which you can buy from a commercial motor factors or the likes of Ebay. They are very robust and should not crack and will reduce road noise and the rain in the wheelarch sound you get driving in the rain! You would have to cut them down to suit then find a means of attaching to the inner wing. Shouldn`t be to difficult to do and would be a very worthwhile mod that won`t cost the earth to do. They should also help protect the rear crossmember from crud as an added bonus which can only be a good thing!

yes - as said below [above] = lorry mudflaps- trimmed carefully they need minimal fastening as they are held by the lip above the 'eyebrows'. Served me very well on the last two Defenders. No reason you cant fit to 110 as well... and yes, stops all the muck going up over the chassis crossmembers too. Front ones are held by the existing screws holding the inner plastic wing |

Also very interested in this mod, as I have discovered corrosion holes around the rear seat mounting brackets in the wheel arch of my 110. I can only think from stones and crud being thrown up into the arch from the tyres. Thanks for posting.

I'd like to do that as well. We drive on lots of gravel roads, and the noise from the gravel being flung up and hitting the wheel arches can be quite loud and gets on one's nerves after the first 100km.

Don't all defenders have these fitted? I've never seen one without? They separate engine bay and the wheel so there has to be something there. Both my 200tdi 90 and tdci 90 and tdci 110 all had them fitted anyway. Yes it would be fairly easy to trim a big standard car mudflap and bolt it to the front of it I guess too Cheers, David Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwards… Daily is a 110 V8. |
