hi hock,
have you got a headlining in your truck cab? as it maybe easier to piggyback off the existing dash speakers and run cables up the a pillars to the roof. Apair of quality 4" midrange and a pair of tweaters be better to listen to at high level. anyway pm custon steve or barbel jim for technical details.  |

Just look up ISO wiring on google, and wire in two rear speakers. Couldn't be simpler than that.

It would be possible to not have to do that and use the RCA pre outs, use a stereo Amp and then two speakers. If you wanted a Sub too just use a splitter or daisy chain it. Either method works.

Don't really want to go into adding an amp etc, space is tight as it is.......and I'm no auto electrician lol
Whats the best way to connect to the wires for rear speakers (believe I'd be looking for the purple and green according to diagram below) 
Searching through google theres options of exposing the wire and soldering, scotch clips or adding iso ends to the speaker cable and plugging in directly? Looks like the scotch clips are easiest but no idea what the sound would be like, soldering could be a faff......hhhmmmm....maybe I should just sing to myself in the truck lol Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated  |

What do you have in there right now? Just the fronts with the rear wires present that need extending or is there no rear output wire "tails" so to speak?

Is there space for speakers in a truck cab?
I like the looks especially with the ifor Williams canopy but I couldn't sit nicely behind the steering wheel so the first thing I did was changing it in a Hard Top. not taken the stereo out recently, but its an aftermarket HU with an iso connector. As far as I'm aware there are no cables for the rear speakers fitted as standard, hence why I ws thinking of tapping into the iso with new speaker cable.
As for space i should be able to get a speaker behind each seat, but yet, its a tight fit, especially when you're 6'1 lol The ones I'm looking at droppping in are a set of shelf mounted (stand alone) jobbies I have left over from the old defender |

 speaker cable from halfords connected to ISO purple and green and we now have a bit richer sound, thanks |
