MOBILE STORAGE SYSTEMS - NEW "HIGHLINE "STORAGE SH
Just thought I would post this to let everyone know about the new "HIGHLINE" Storage Shelf made by Mobile Storage Systems.

I had been looking for one of these for over a year, but whilst there were one or two others none of them had the locking doors on the front(which is very handy for accessing it from the inside) or the rear.

Anyway, I had mine fitted this morning and I must say the quality and sturdiness is exactly what MSS are renowned for.

Very pleased and a big Thankyou to Richard for coming down to Cheshire to fit it, Hayley for organising it and Clare & Tim for allowing it all to happen. Thumbs Up

Sorry they're not the best quality of photos, but I only had my phone to hand.

Nice idea, but it can only hinder rear visibility and head space in the rear seats? John

SMB - have you just driven through Frodsham? If it was you then I was turning right at Bears Paw lights.

Having built something similar for mine, I can say that it's above the sightline from the rear view mirror. You'd definitely have to be short to sit beneath it though Laughing

I should add that it looks very smart, too. Darren

Richard

Hi Richard, No not me, I'm in Ellesmere at the moment. I did turn left there this morning tho'!

Weight wise, I'm not sure, but looking how rigid it is and how it is supported I would imagine 30-40 kg wouldn't cause any issues. You can also get a centre partition for it to stop stuff rolling around.

As LRA sais it doesn't effect rear visibility, but if you want to use seats 6&7 you would have to be less than 5ft 3". It's quite easy to take out so if I need to use them it's no probs, but I am taking the seats out instead.

Might appear a daft question - but what is this lockable box that almost appears to be floating in mid air actually for?

Storing things up out of the way of the main load area. Mine's just a shelf but I use it for coats, camping bedding and other light, bulky stuff. Darren

ooo my first mention on the Defender2 forum!!!

Thank you Stephen for your kind comments I have passed these on - any time you need to borrow Richard again is fine by me (it will get him out of my hair for a while lol)

We have never fitted this with an OEM cargo barrier Al, but if you wish to purchase this we can offer you free fitting.

These are priced at £349.00inc VAT
