Jeremy,
Have you had any deposits or orders booked in yet for 2015? I ask because in December 2015, my company car will be up for renewal, it broke my heart selling the 90, the small Volvo I now have I useless at going through fields, so back to the fold I come. (I would have one now!). I want a defender, would normally start looking in late summer/autumn 2015, but will I have missed the boat? |

We have deposits on it and its replacement.
In terms of waiting till summer '15 you maybe too late, or there may still be vehicles to be had. It's hard to say at this stage hence people playing safe and getting names in early. If you want to discuss in more detail please feel free to drop me a line Jeremy.jackson@hadleygreen.co.uk (but I'm on a day off tomorrow!) |

I've not heard that one, but anyway!
We take a £500 expression of interest deposit. This secures a place and is fully refundable upto the point of an order being confirmed. |

Went to a local dealer yesterday, last special model could be a V8 5ltr Supercharged diesel engine, first run off the new engine plant. Priced around £100k, gulp!
My local said no rush to secure a Defender, but would keep me in the loop. |

I'd be interested in the Dutch price including all taxes. That would probably cost as much as my house...

“Priced around £100k, gulp!”
About the cost of a new TDCi with a bit of Nakatenenga bling and fancier leather trim, then… I’ve had my five hundred quid deposited with a dealer for quite some time now (reads “Deposit for LTD FDD last defender 2015”, whatever that means), not really fussed but it would be silly to decide I wanted one only to discover I’d left it too late to order one. Jeremy pm? However, I’m not expecting any discount, even though I’ve never bought a new car with anything less than 10% off (actually, that’s not quite true, I just bought a base VW Up! for my son and could only get it down to 9.46% off) The last, last, last ones are obviously gonna go to museums, factory exhibition, raffles for “Help for Heroes” (if every soldier who loses a limb is a hero, what do you call one who’s rescued a comrade under fire but didn’t get wounded?) etc. Peter |
