Question for those of you with RDX LED lights
For those of you with the RDX LED lights, what are you running in your side repeaters? Incandescent bulbs or LED also?
Just wondering as I thought the RDX relay was really meant for LED's but could handle both.
Would have thought the flash rate may be slightly different. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

on my old defender (led bulbs not rdx complete lights) I had to run incandescent bulb in repeater as with led in them all four flashed didn't matter which way you put indicators on put normal bulb in all worked
new defender rdx back and front led bulb repeater all ok
if led electronic flasher unit is used im sure flash rate is the same no matter what bulbs fitted .. but you got to be careful of wattage loading some flasher relays are quite low rated wattage ,some can only take one extra standard bulb (21w) for trailer lights etc

Running standard Incandescent bulbs in the side indicators with a full set of RDX Lights and no problem once you adjust the RDX relay.

is that the rdx flasher unit you adjust to get trailer dash light to work .. if it is how do you find the flash rate I found mine looked to slow so I put old led relay back and flash rate looked better

Yes, I purchased it as a whole kit from BoltonBits, but the full kit doesn't come with the side repeaters so I just left the originals in. I replaced the standard relay with the RDX one and turned the knob until the trailer warning light just went out.

I would say the flash rate is slightly faster than the standard. I have also tried it with both LED and Incandescent Light Boards on the trailer and no problem experienced, not even having to adjust the relay either.

The only problem I keep getting almost on a daily basis is because I went for an All Clear set, every time someone sees me reverse they come up and tell me I've only got one reversing light working. It's becoming a real PITA!!!

just had to go and check what colour my fog is .. yes its clear but not had anyone say only one working never thought about it really .. mine puts worklight on as well to reverse
perhaps my rdx unit was dodgey (brand new ) as mine looked bit slow
not too worried about dash light as I got buzzer fitted for trailer indicators (I know you have to have one or the other )
the flash rate was within what its meant to be just didn't look right to me

I have tried various different Led bulbs in my side repeaters but couldn`t get any that I was happy with, with regards to brightness and light spread. I ended up just keeping the original capless bulbs which I found the best at filling the lamp with light (as opposed to the led bulbs which only seemed to give a very small circle of light and were very hard to see in direct sunlight) I have the RDX lights fitted and have no issues with them or the flash rate of the supplied flasher unit. Back on topic, glad I started this thread. A good few answers here now as to thoughts on the set from RDX.
My main concerns really were trailer issues but it seems that is not s problem which is great. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

Side repeaters are the originalS in mine and RDX LED elsewhere with no problems. Recently passed its MOT without any issues, so I wouldn't worry about the lights bm52. _______________________________
