Mine is going in for its 48,000/4 year service next week. I think I have been quoted around £350 - but I am also signed up to the Land Rover Allegiance Scheme which reduces the bill, and includes a free MOT. If you are not already signed up it may be an idea to check it out. Euro-Leafing to infinity and beyond.....

My 2-year/24000 service was ~£470 at Macrae & Dick (official LR dealer in Inverness) and that included a courtesy car (£15 charge for using their insurance).
I did ask, and he said the difference between the 2-year and 4-year service was the transmission lubricants. Apparently they change the gearbox, transfer box and diff oils as well at 48k/4 years. Assume that would add around £200... £100 for oil, and £100 for labour. However once Warranty has expired, it'll likely be going to my local Indie (Whytes in Edinburgh) as he's very good, and quite a bit cheaper Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's) |

Quoted £800 for the 4th year service on the 110 UW - Peter Vardy Aberdeen. They also said it was due to change of fluids -engine oil, gearbox, transfer, differentials and brakes.
Everything seems expensive in Aberdeen! |

Mine booked in Listers Hereford Landy December for 4th service. Quoted about £730, but got it down to £690 after grumbling. When I asked "well what the hell are you gonna do for 690 of my hard earned English pounds??" they printed the service schedule off and yes, as above, oils in this that and tuther need changing.

Jeez guys,
Just did a FULL 4 year service (including the things listed 'check/top-up') myself at a cost of £80-90 from memory. Got a certain north-western truck servicing company to stamp my book and guy salmon agreed to do the corrosion inspection at no cost when it was in for warranty work. Even guy salmon only quoted £350+VAT! Don't put up with over 400! (Never mind 700+!) Even mums tdv8 RR V SE major service was only £500 main dealer! Cheers, David Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwards… Daily is a 110 V8. |
