Not a lot. Both tuners have their followers and they will support their choice no matter what, and as I don't know of anyone whom has both tunes to compare them like for like on a rolling road and publish them for all to see, then I would say it is down to your choice as to who you think does the best tune? This subject always results in a contest and a search will show you the numerous posts with differing opinions viewed by owners of tunes from both companies. Remember that there are only so many variables that can be changed safely and to say one is better than the other without cold hard data is just speculation in my book, so I would say again it is all down to your personal choice (customer service, feedback etc. Both are good on this forum BTW) and price.

***Edit***Well put as ever Lorryman. Pipped me to the post but written in the same train of thought I believe...
Naturally those that have purchased each different variant of remap will profess it to be the best. Historically it is probably not the prudent thing to do to ask for a comparison as emotions can run high, teddies get thrown out of cots and it all ends in tears. Speak to each supplier in turn and see if they can meet your requirements and what after marketing tweaks are available should the map not reach your true expectations. Then make a sensible well-balanced decision on your own research and feedback experiences from the horses mouth, not from hearsay or 'I can pee higher and faster than you type misinformation.' As a footnote I have a remap and it is neither of the two suppliers you mention...... is it any good? Hell Yes! It's the best. (Written tongue in cheek of course) I know it to be inferior but for me it suits my needs and reaches my expectations. A quick search through the threads and you'll see exactly what I mean. Willy best reply I've seen to a post in ages! Did make me laugh......lots! If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

The hardware is made from Alientech (YESSS ITALIAN COMPANY) .
Every tuner do "personal" the job for the maps, calibration parameters and so on...... The hardware is only a "computer", tuners install his own data... I prefer my Partner!!!! first in Puma remap first in the speed limiter removal first in the EGR off by map first in the Puma 5 cyl. ECU match first in ....... I have both tunes ....
Alive did my TD5 130 and BAS did my Puma 130. Both companies provided a very good service, both tunes make the Land Rover's go faster, does that help .... |
