Has it thrown its wheel weights off?
Swap wheels and see if vibration changes Andy |

I had a very similar problem, I ruled out UJ's but after much wiggling and pulling I found out it was a front UJ. The tiniest amount of play will cause a wobble 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

Try removing one prop, test drive in difflock, then replace, and remove other prop, retest.

Sometimes the only and best way to see if you have a uj failing is to undo one end of each prop to give them a proper wiggle.
Simple things like checking wheel bearings and balancing wheels or even borrowing a set that is ok off another Car |

you can't properly check UJs unless at least one end is off. Unless they are completely fubar'd anyway.

Right an update, before I left work today I removed my front prop and ran her home in diff lock, well I don't know why but now I can't go past 30 without there being a resonance through the whole vehicle and the same vibrations as before. I forgot to mention in precious posts but it still only happens while under load, if im coasting its fine so I'm now looking rear prop or rear axle?? Ill try and take rear prop off tomorrow but now way in hell am I driving it far like it ( been there in a series 2) not too much fun just with a 2.25 petrol so no way with a td5. Any other ideas? Cheers guys. Ed

Sounds like the rear prop to me, the resonance and vibration being worse because all of the load is going through the faulty prop 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

When my front prop went I took it off whilst waiting for the UJ to arrive, mine has a strong stage 2 map by IRB and to say it was a handful in the wet would be an understatement 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

Haha I don't doubt it , my old series2 was fun enough granted it was a very re worked 2.5 petrol, though when I blew a rear half shaft front wheel drive was impossible to handle. She just slid and danced everywhere.

Although fun I can see why Landrover didn't do selectable 4WD when the power increased! RWD defenders are crap! 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

I would bet on uj,s. had the same problem on mine , and as already mentioned it only takes a very small amount of wear to create a load of vibes.
